In Path of Exile 2, the trade chat buzzes with requests for White Stellar Amulets, often fetching 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs each. Many players might wonder why these items command such high value. Understanding the reasons behind this demand can help players make informed decisions on whether to buy, sell, or utilize these amulets.

What Makes White Stellar Amulets Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

White Stellar Amulets, which are Stellar Amulets of normal rarity and possess only the implicit "+# to All Attributes," hold immense value due to their potential to transform into the highly coveted Astramentis Stellar Amulet when an Orb of Chance is applied.

Astramentis stands out because it grants a massive boost to all attributes (+80-120), making it a game-changer for builds that synergize with items like the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps. This unique glove enhances attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity levels.

The key to this transformation is that only 'White' Stellar Amulets can be used; Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) versions won't work, which explains why these normal amulets are more valuable than their upgraded counterparts.

Should You Sell White Stellar Amulets or Use the Orb of Chance

Given the incredibly low probability of converting a White Stellar Amulet into Astramentis with an Orb of Chance, attempting to do so with a single or even a handful of amulets is generally not advisable. Even with 100 attempts, success is not guaranteed, though the slim chance of hitting the jackpot remains.

Deciding whether to sell your White Stellar Amulets or gamble with the Orb of Chance depends on your risk tolerance. Selling can earn you between 10-30 Exalted Orbs, based on current market rates. Alternatively, you might choose to take the high-risk, high-reward path and try your luck at obtaining Astramentis.

How to Use Orb of Chance To Get Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt the transformation, place the Normal Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click on the Orb of Chance, and then left-click on the Stellar Amulet. The possible outcomes include:

  • The item might be destroyed.
  • It could be upgraded to a unique item sharing the same base. For Stellar Amulets, the possible outcomes are:
    1. Astramentis
    2. Fixation of Yix

Fixation of Yix is the more common outcome, making it less desirable than Astramentis. If the attempt fails, the Stellar Amulet is likely to be destroyed.
