Crystal Dynamics and Lost in Cult Announce New Legacy of Kain Projects
Crystal Dynamics, in collaboration with UK-based Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker, has announced two exciting additions to the Legacy of Kain universe: a comprehensive encyclopedia and a tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG). These projects follow the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered.
The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia
The first project, The Book of Nosgoth, is an official encyclopedia penned by Nic Reuben of Rock Paper Shotgun. This in-depth guide explores the world of Nosgoth, detailing its locations, factions, inhabitants, and the epic Kain-Raziel conflict. Beyond lore, the book will feature behind-the-scenes content, including concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, offering a deep dive into the creation of all five Legacy of Kain games.
Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan – A New TTRPG
The second project, Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan, is a TTRPG set during the Sarafan Order's war against vampires. Utilizing the MÖRK BORG ruleset, this mechanics-light game lets players become Sarafan warrior priests, engaging in vampire hunts, uncovering Nosgoth's hidden history, and venturing into the spectral realm. The game features six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, a bestiary of creatures, and the diverse landscape of Nosgoth.
