From the trailer, it's evident that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be larger in every dimension compared to the original. The screen, Joy-Cons, and even the sticks are slightly bigger, promising a more immersive gaming experience. While exact specifications haven't been disclosed, insiders suggest the following dimensions: height — 116 mm, width — 270 mm, thickness — 14 mm. This makes the Switch 2 3.1 cm wider and 1.4 cm taller than its predecessor. Additionally, rumors point towards an 8-inch screen diagonal, an upgrade from the 7-inch screen of the first Switch's OLED version.

Design
The trailer showcases a fresh design for the Joy-Cons, now featuring magnetic connections secured by two recessed contacts within the console's body. Don't worry about fragility; insiders assure that these contacts are well-protected by the console's frame, making them nearly impossible to break without damaging the console itself. The SL and SR buttons, now larger and metallic, incorporate these magnets, ensuring the controllers won't accidentally detach during play. However, this design does result in side bezels around the screen.
The controllers slide to the side after pressing a button, and the holder that transforms them into a full-fledged joystick has been updated. Its grips are now flat, and the Joy-Cons attach from the sides rather than the top. Small changes have also been made to the buttons on the Joy-Cons, which are now slightly larger. Rumors also suggest the sticks will feature Hall effect sensors, reducing the risk of drift. Unfortunately, the IR camera has been removed, potentially affecting backward compatibility for games like Ring Fit Adventure.
You'll also notice a microphone and a USB Type-C port on the top bezel of the console. While their specific purposes are unknown, they might enable direct use with wired joysticks and voice chat in games. We'll have more details soon.

What's inside?
While we eagerly await the full reveal at the Nintendo Direct on April 2, there's plenty of speculation about the Switch 2's internals. Rumors suggest its power will be on par with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In docked mode, it may even support Quad HD resolution, if not 4K. Most insiders agree on these potential specifications:
Processor: Custom Nvidia Tegra T239
RAM: 12 GB
Storage: 256 GB
Memory Card Support: microSDHC, microSDXC, microSD Express
Screen: LCD, 8 inches
While the launch won't feature an OLED version as many hoped, the specs are still impressive. We can expect many AAA titles from previous years to be ported over, including the long-awaited Genshin Impact.
