The GameSir Super Nova controller is compatible with PC, Nintendo Switch, and iOS or Android mobile devices. It offers three connection options: Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB Type-C wired. For the best performance with minimal latency, use the wired or 2.4GHz wireless modes, both supporting a 1000Hz polling rate.
The Super Nova works with the Switch 2 console
You can use the Super Nova with the Switch 2 via wired or wireless connections. Keep in mind that it does not support amiibo functionality and won't wake the console from sleep mode. You'll also notice the button layout follows the Xbox-style, meaning the "X and Y" and "A and B" buttons are reversed compared to a standard Joy-Con. This isn't an issue, as the button covers are swappable.
Unlike standard controllers (including first-party options), the GameSir Super Nova uses Hall Effect joysticks and triggers to prevent stick drift. The thumbsticks feature anti-friction rings, and the triggers include a switch to toggle between short and long travel distances. Programmable back buttons and customizable ABXY layout offer further personalization. Powered by a 1,000mAh battery (though exact battery life isn't specified), the controller charges effortlessly on its included dock with pogo pins.
