Nintendo Delays Japanese Alarmo Release Due to High Demand
Nintendo has announced a postponement of the general retail release of its Alarmo alarm clock in Japan. The delay, attributed to insufficient stock to meet unexpectedly high demand, affects the originally planned February 2025 launch. A new release date has not yet been specified.

The company will instead offer a pre-order system exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan starting mid-December 2024, with shipments commencing in early February 2025. The exact pre-order start date will be announced shortly. The impact on international availability, currently slated for March 2025, remains unclear.

The Alarmo, a popular interactive alarm clock featuring music from various Nintendo franchises (Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, RingFit Adventure, and more), launched globally in October 2024. Its immediate popularity led to the halting of online orders and a lottery system for purchases. The alarm clock quickly sold out in physical Nintendo stores in Japan and New York.
Further updates on pre-orders and the rescheduled general release will be shared as they become available.
