Moustache-Adorned Cleaner Tackles Crime Scene Cleanup

Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Originally released in 2019, this title is returning, but the extent of its revamp remains uncertain. Will it be a polished re-release or simply a modernized port? Only time will tell.

The game throws you into the gritty, yet comical, 1970s. Think urban decay, stylish gangs, improbable events (killer sharks, anyone?), all with a darkly humorous twist. You play as Bob Leaner, a professional crime-scene cleaner, tasked with the messy job of disposing of bodies, cleaning up blood, and erasing all evidence of mob violence—all while dodging the police.

Remember our 2019 review? The consensus was that Serial Cleaner showed promise but felt unfinished. Developer Plug-In Digital is now self-publishing, bringing this puzzle-action title to mobile platforms.

A Funky Revival?

Pre-registration is open, with a February 11th, 2025 release date. However, the extent of the improvements remains unclear. While a significant polish would be welcome given the mixed initial reception, substantial changes might be unrealistic given the time elapsed since the original launch.

The core concept remains captivating, but a simple mobile re-release dampens some of the excitement. However, for Android users who missed out or iOS users experiencing compatibility issues, this could be a pleasant surprise.
