Capcom has unveiled the first details of Monster Hunter Wilds' initial major update, slated for early April. In the wake of the game's massive launch, Capcom shared insights about Title Update 1 on Steam, emphasizing that the patch, arriving just over a month post-launch, "will give hunters ample time to gear up for the new challenges on the horizon."
Title Update 1 introduces a heightened level of challenge, urging players to "prepare your gear, and resolve, hunters!" Capcom announced. "TU1 will bring a monster of formidable strength, surpassing even Tempered levels!" Alongside this, a new challenging monster will debut with the update.
In a unique addition, Title Update 1 will introduce a new endgame gathering spot. "A new place to meet, communicate, share meals, and more with fellow hunters will be added to Monster Hunter Wilds in TU1!" Capcom stated. This feature will be accessible to players who have completed the main story, encouraging them to continue their hunting journey and prepare for the new social hub.
The community's response to the new gathering area has been varied. While some hunters are excited about this addition, others question its absence at launch. It bears similarities to the Gathering Hubs of previous Monster Hunter titles, though Capcom opts for a different designation here. The game currently allows other players to visit your camp, yet lacks a dedicated social hub, so this new area is anticipated to address that gap.
Capcom has released several images to give a glimpse of this new gathering spot:
