With the release of Monster Hunter Wilds just weeks away, Capcom has unveiled a PC benchmark tool on Steam, allowing players to gauge their system's readiness. Simultaneously, they've also revised the PC system requirements downward.
Capcom's benchmark tool, available now on Steam, requires a shader compilation upon launch but is otherwise straightforward to use. It's highly recommended to run the benchmark, particularly given the updated system requirements.
Previously, achieving 1080p at 60fps with Frame Generation enabled demanded an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, or AMD Radeon RX 6700XT; an Intel Core i5-11600K, Intel Core i5-12400, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU; and 16GB of RAM.
However, the updated requirements, as detailed alongside the benchmark, are significantly more accessible:
OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) / Windows 11 (64-bit) Processor: Intel Core i5-10400 / Intel Core i3-12100 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Memory: 16 GB Graphics Card (GPU): GeForce RTX 2060 Super / Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM) Storage: 75 GB (SSD required)
These revised specifications should, according to Capcom, deliver a smooth 1080p 60fps experience with Frame Generation enabled. The reduction in requirements is noticeable, making the game accessible to a wider range of PC players.

Early benchmark results suggest improved performance compared to the beta, especially with Frame Generation. However, Steam Deck compatibility remains uncertain.
Another significant change is the reduced storage requirement. The game now only needs 75GB of SSD space, down from the previous 140GB. This is a surprising decrease, especially considering the typical year-over-year increase in game file sizes.
