In a statement to the press, Capcom attributed the unprecedented success of *Monster Hunter Wilds* to several key factors. They highlighted the introduction of crossplay, a first for the series, along with a simultaneous day-one launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. This approach contrasts with *Monster Hunter World*, which saw a delayed PC release.
