Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Extended 24 Hours Post-PSN Outage

Author : Noah Apr 26,2025

Capcom has announced an extension for the Monster Hunter Wilds beta following a 24-hour PlayStation Network (PSN) outage that disrupted the previous test session. The PSN experienced an "operational issue" starting at 3pm PT on Friday, February 7, and services were not restored until approximately 24 hours later. In response, Sony extended PlayStation Plus memberships by an additional five days for all members.

The outage severely impacted gamers, preventing online play and affecting single-player games that require server authentication or a constant internet connection. Monster Hunter Wilds' second beta, which was scheduled from Thursday, February 6 to Sunday, February 9, was among the affected titles. In light of this, Capcom has decided to extend the next session of the beta by 24 hours. The new session will now run from Thursday, February 13 at 7pm PT (3am GMT on February 14) to Monday, February 17 at 6:59pm PT (2:59am GMT on February 18).

During this extended period, players will still be able to earn the participation bonuses that will carry over to the full version of the game, as confirmed by Capcom. Despite the disruption, players managed to engage with the game's challenging new enemy, Arkveld, during the initial beta session.

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on February 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
