Recent leaks suggest Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 will introduce a new permanent gameplay mode: a Bangboo dress-up feature. This exciting addition, initially launching as a "Bangboo Beauty Contest" event, lets players customize outfits for the game's mascot, Eous.
Version 1.4 brought significant content, including S-Rank units Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (the latter being free). Two new permanent combat-focused game modes were also added, providing rewards like Polychrome and Boopon. This new dress-up mode follows a trend of non-combat events, like the previous "Bangboo vs Ethereal" tower defense event, demonstrating HoYoverse's commitment to diverse gameplay experiences.
Reliable leaker, Flying Flame, revealed the Bangboo dress-up mode's permanent status post-event. Screenshots showcasing various clothing items for Eous have surfaced. While the mode itself will remain, event-specific rewards will be time-limited. Rumors suggest this event might finally deliver the long-awaited Nicole Demara skin.
Beyond the Dress-Up: More Version 1.5 Leaks
Further leaks hint at a temporary platformer game mode in Version 1.5. This aligns with HoYoverse's history of adding non-combat permanent modes to their other titles, such as Honkai: Star Rail's cocktail-making and Genshin Impact's Genius Invokation TCG.
Confirmed additions for Version 1.5 include the debut of S-Rank characters Astra Yao and Evelyn, a new area, and a new chapter in the main storyline. With the release date (January 22nd) fast approaching, official announcements are expected soon.
