In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, while navigating the main storyline in Kuttenberg, you have the opportunity to assist Master Schindel in recovering his stolen items through the Master Schindel’s Toys quest. This quest can be quite challenging, but with the right guidance, you'll be able to complete it successfully.
How to Start Master Schindel’s Toys Quest
To initiate the Master Schindel’s Toys quest, you must first engage in the Into the Underworld main mission. Your objective during this mission is to locate an informant known as Goatskin. As part of your investigation, visit the bathhouse and speak with the Bathhouse Madam. Following this, have a conversation with Adam, who will inform you that Goatskin is the one who stole Master Schindel's items.
Finding Goatskin
After speaking with Adam, your next task is to find Goatskin. Known for his timidity, drawing him out can be tricky. You have the option to speak with Lousy Mary or follow Udo. I recommend the latter. Udo is a customer who frequents the bathhouse's first floor in the evening. Instruct him to go home and discreetly follow him. Goatskin will attempt to rob Udo in an alley, providing you the perfect opportunity to confront him.
Obtaining the Kuttenberg Underground Map
In addition to gathering information about Liechtenstein, you can also try to acquire a map from Goatskin. If you fail the skill check, you'll need to bribe him. He will then direct you to the Kuttenberg gallows on the southeastern side of the city, where you can find the Map of Kuttenberg Underground on a hanging corpse. Retrieve the map to help navigate the underground area, which is notoriously difficult to traverse.
Locating the Stolen Items
To quickly retrieve the stolen items and complete the Master Schindel’s Toys quest, head to the northern side of the open area where you'll find a ladder leading underground. Descend the ladder into the Kuttenberg Underground zone, ensuring you have a torch as it's pitch black down there.
Navigate by consistently making left turns until you reach a barrel at a dead end. At one point, you'll need to jump down to a lower area. Continue turning left at each junction until you discover Goatskin’s hidden stash. Examine the barrel to find a book and an astrolabe.
Returning the Stolen Items
With the stolen items in hand, retrace your steps to exit the underground. Master Schindel can usually be found on the northeastern side of the city during the day. Approach him to complete the side quest. Initially, he might seem irritable, but returning his items will soften his demeanor. Engage further in conversation, and he'll explain the astrolabe and the workings of the planets.
