Mask Around: A Gooey Sequel That Packs a Punch
Mask Around, the sequel to 2020's quirky roguelike platformer Mask Up, is now available on Google Play. This time around, players will experience a blend of run-and-gun action and brawling, a significant departure from its predecessor's focus on melee combat.
Returning fans will be delighted to see the signature yellow ooze making a comeback, though with some intriguing new gameplay twists. While the original Mask Up was primarily a 2D brawler, Mask Around introduces 2D shooting mechanics, offering players the flexibility to switch between ranged and melee combat styles.
Resource management remains crucial, as the yellow ooze remains a limited resource. Players must carefully monitor their ooze meter, especially during challenging boss encounters.

More Than Just Goo
Mask Around represents a substantial evolution from its predecessor. It retains the core gameplay of Mask Up but significantly expands upon it. Strategic use of the ooze meter is now paramount, alongside the skillful application of weaponry when the ooze runs low. The game also boasts improved graphics.
Currently available on Android, there's no confirmed iOS release date yet. While a direct comparison to the original is difficult without having played Mask Up, Mask Around appears to be a well-executed and refined sequel.
