Marvel is gearing up for the release of another exciting Swimsuit Special comic, and it seems that NetEase Games’ Marvel Rivals is set to dive into the summer vibe with its own set of swimsuit skins.
In a recent post on the Marvel website, details were shared about what could lead to the much-anticipated arrival of Marvel Rivals swimsuit cosmetics. Marvel will be bringing back the beloved series on July 9 with Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes, and Rivals #1. This comic will offer Earth’s Mightiest Heroes a well-deserved break from their world-saving duties. More importantly, Marvel teases that this run will provide a sneak peek at designs for Marvel Rivals.
Unfortunately, Marvel doesn't provide much information on when these summer designs will launch or which characters will be featured. It’s also worth noting that the post doesn’t confirm these skins as part of a swimsuit set, but given the special's theme, it would be fitting to see some summer cosmetics included. We'll have more details on the Marvel Swimsuit Special in the coming months, and hopefully, that will include more information on its connection to Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals, which launched in December, has quickly become a favorite among multiplayer fans on PC and consoles. Its competitive gameplay and extensive character roster have players constantly strategizing to climb the ranks. While some focus on enhancing their skills, others eagerly await news on NetEase’s post-launch support. The idea of a Marvel Rivals swimsuit collection has garnered significant fan interest, and now, it appears their wishes may soon be granted.

When it comes to predicting the launch of these swimsuits, there are a few hints we can follow. Marvel Rivals Season 2 introduced Emma Frost and the Hellfire Gala just last week, and with the season ending in about three months, we can anticipate the new outfits arriving with Season 3, likely around July or August. This timeline aligns with NetEase’s previously announced schedule and allows fans to enjoy the summer-themed skins just before the season ends.
Alongside Season 3, NetEase is rolling out new post-launch plans. Instead of three-month seasons, Marvel Rivals will now have shorter, two-month seasons. This means fans can expect at least one new playable hero every month moving forward.
