Marvel Snap Deck Guide: September 2024 Edition

Marvel Snap Deck Guide Image

This month's Marvel Snap (Free) meta is surprisingly balanced, but the new season introduces fresh cards and the "Activate" ability, promising significant shifts. While many Young Avengers cards haven't drastically altered the landscape, Amazing Spider-Man and "Activate" are game-changers. Expect a very different meta next month.

Note: These decks assume a complete card collection. I'll present five top-tier decks and a couple of more accessible, fun options. Remember, meta decks are constantly evolving!

Top Tier Decks:

Kazar and Gilgamesh

Kazar and Gilgamesh Deck

Cards: Ant-Man, Nebula, Squirrel Girl, Dazzler, Kate Bishop, Marvel Boy, Caeira, Shanna, Kazar, Blue Marvel, Gilgamesh, Mockingbird

This surprisingly dominant deck utilizes low-cost cards, buffed by Kazar and Blue Marvel. Marvel Boy provides additional buffs, while Gilgamesh thrives in this high-buff environment. Kate Bishop offers Dazzler synergy and cost reduction for Mockingbird.

Silver Surfer Still Never Dies, Part II

Silver Surfer Deck

Cards: Nova, Forge, Cassandra Nova, Brood, Silver Surfer, Killmonger, Hope Summers, Nocturne, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, Absorbing Man, Gwenpool

The enduring Silver Surfer deck receives minor adjustments. Nova/Killmonger provide early boosts, Forge enhances Brood clones, Gwenpool buffs hand cards, Shaw benefits from buffs, Hope provides extra energy, Cassandra Nova drains opponent power, and Surfer/Absorbing Man secure victory. Copycat replaces Red Guardian as a versatile tool.

Spectrum and Man-Thing Ongoing

Spectrum and Man-Thing Deck

Cards: Wasp, Ant-Man, Howard the Duck, Armor, US Agent, Lizard, Captain America, Cosmo, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, Man-Thing, Spectrum

The Ongoing archetype remains strong. Spectrum's final-turn buff complements the Ongoing abilities. Luke Cage/Man-Thing synergy is potent, and Cosmo's utility is increasing. This deck is relatively easy to play.

Discard Dracula

Discard Dracula Deck

Cards: Blade, Morbius, The Collector, Swarm, Colleen Wing, Moon Knight, Corvus Glaive, Lady Sif, Dracula, Proxima Midnight, MODOK, Apocalypse

A classic Apocalypse-led Discard deck, enhanced by the buffed Moon Knight. Morbius and Dracula are key cards, aiming for a final-turn Apocalypse/Dracula combo. The Collector provides potential additional value.

Destroy

Destroy Deck

Cards: Deadpool, Niko Minoru, X-23, Carnage, Wolverine, Killmonger, Deathlok, Attuma, Nimrod, Knull, Death

The Destroy deck remains largely unchanged, with Attuma's buff strengthening its performance. Focus on destroying Deadpool and Wolverine, utilizing X-23 for energy, and finishing with Nimrod or Knull. Arnim Zola's absence reflects the rise of counter-measures.

Fun & Accessible Decks:

Darkhawk Is Back (Did He Ever Leave?)

Darkhawk Deck

Cards: The Hood, Spider-Ham, Korg, Niko Minoru, Cassandra Nova, Moon Knight, Rockslide, Viper, Proxima Midnight, Darkhawk, Blackbolt, Stature

A fun deck centered around Darkhawk, utilizing Korg/Rockslide for opponent deck manipulation, and disruption cards like Spider-Ham and Cassandra Nova.

Budget Kazar

Budget Kazar Deck

Cards: Ant-Man, Elektra, Ice Man, Nightcrawler, Armor, Mister Fantastic, Cosmo, Kazar, Namor, Blue Marvel, Klaw, Onslaught

A more accessible version of the Kazar deck, ideal for newer players. While less consistently powerful, it provides valuable experience with the core combo.

The meta is dynamic, so adapt your strategies accordingly. The "Activate" ability and Symbiote Spider-Man will significantly impact the October meta. Happy Snapping!
