Curious about the origins of the Avengers or what Odin was up to before Thor and Loki came into the picture? Wonder no more, True Believer, as Marvel Snap's latest season, Prehistoric Avengers, dives into these intriguing backstories. This season introduces us to prehistoric versions of iconic characters like the first Black Panther, the original Phoenix host Firehair, the first sorcerer supreme Agamotto, and even Khonshu, all transformed into cards with complex yet beneficial powers.
Agamotto, in particular, brings something new to the table: a card type called Skills. These cards symbolize actions and abilities rather than characters. When played, Skills cards are Banished—meaning they're gone for good—and while they have no Power, they're cheaper to play in terms of Energy, adding a strategic layer to your gameplay.
But the excitement doesn't stop there! Two new locations are joining the fray: the Star Brand crater, which boosts your Energy if you have the highest power there, and the Celestial Burial Ground, where you can discard a card and replace it with another of the same cost. These new additions promise to shake up your strategy.
Alongside these, the season brings new Spotlight Caches, featuring both classic and fresh top-level cards, alongside variant card art and other exciting debuts. The return of the High Voltage mode will electrify your matches, speeding up the pace and intensity of your Marvel Snap experience.
