NetEase Games has unveiled the highly anticipated Sanctum Sanctorum map, set to debut in Marvel Rivals during Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching on January 10 at 1 AM PST. This season will introduce Dracula as the central villain, with The Fantastic Four stepping up to combat his malevolent forces.
Sanctum Sanctorum is one of three new maps arriving in Season 1, and it will serve as the battleground for the newly introduced Doom Match mode. This mode will host 8-12 players in a thrilling free-for-all competition, where the top 50% of participants will emerge victorious. Alongside Sanctum Sanctorum, players can explore the new Midtown map, which will feature a convoy mission set in the bustling streets of New York City. Additionally, the Central Park map, shrouded in mystery, is slated for a significant mid-season update.
A captivating video released by Marvel Rivals provides a detailed tour of the Sanctum Sanctorum map. The map boasts a blend of luxurious decor and surreal elements, showcasing floating cookware, a squid-like creature emerging from the refrigerator, winding staircases, levitating bookshelves, and shimmering artifacts of immense power. This setting, the home of Doctor Strange in Marvel Rivals, is adorned with a cheerful portrait of the sorcerer himself, adding a personal touch to the environment.

The video also highlights a portrait of Wong, a beloved character making his debut in the game. Additionally, viewers can spot Doctor Strange's ghost dog, Bats, lounging comfortably on the floor. Despite the impending chaos and battles, the developers have meticulously crafted every detail of the map, creating an immersive experience for players. As Dracula sets a trap for Doctor Strange, the Sanctum Sanctorum remains a place where the sorcerer might still conduct his mystical affairs.
With Doctor Strange temporarily out of the picture, The Fantastic Four will take the lead in defending New York City. Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman will join the fray at the launch of Season 1, followed by Human Torch and The Thing during the mid-season update. The future looks bright for Marvel Rivals, with fans eagerly anticipating the new content and gameplay enhancements on the horizon.
