Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown from Marvel Rivals Wiki

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown was the first new map introduced in Marvel Rivals Season 1, debuting at the season's launch. This map is specifically designed for the Convoy mode, where players either escort or attempt to stop a moving vehicle as it travels across the map. It's the third Convoy map in the game, joining Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.

Set in a version of New York City shrouded in the darkness of Dracula’s Blood Moon, Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown features several iconic Points of Interest that blend elements from the Marvel Universe with real-world Midtown Manhattan locations:

  • Baxter Building
  • Grand Central Terminal
  • Stark/Avengers Tower
  • Fisk Tower
  • Ardmore’s Bookstore
  • Timely Trend

Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum

The Empire of Eternal Night version of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Santorum was added to Marvel Rivals in Season 1. It's the exclusive map for the Doom Match mode, a free-for-all deathmatch where players compete to eliminate others and survive. At the end of the match, those in the top half of the leaderboard earn wins, with the top player receiving the MVP title.

The map showcases a stunning rendition of Doctor Strange’s mystical mansion, which has been a significant part of the Marvel Universe since its introduction in a 1963 comic. It's also well-known from its appearances in the MCU. In Marvel Rivals, the Sanctum Santorum serves as Earth’s supernatural defense hub in New York City. Players can explore supernatural rooms with impossible ceilings, portals, an infinite staircase, and even interact with Bats The Ghost Dog.

Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park

While details are scarce, the Central Park map is slated for release in the second half of Marvel Rivals Season 1. Located in Manhattan between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side, Central Park has been featured in various Marvel media, most recently in the 2023 Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 video game.

In Marvel Rivals, the map will focus on a stylized version of Belvedere Castle, situated at one of the highest points in the park. Known for its Gothic architecture, this miniature castle is expected to serve as a thematic hideout for Dracula within New York City, fitting perfectly into the Empire of Eternal Night theme.

These are all the new maps you can explore in Marvel Rivals Season 1, each offering unique settings and gameplay experiences inspired by the rich tapestry of the Marvel Universe.
