Dev Talk 11 Updates on Seasonal Rank Adjustments
Following the backlash from the community after Dev Talk 10, which proposed a mid-season rank reset that would drop players down four divisions every 45 days, Marvel Rivals has made significant changes. The latest Dev Talk 11 update confirms that there will be no mid-season rank reset. Players will now retain their scores and ranks from the first half of the season, providing a more stable progression system. However, at the end of the full season, players will still face a rank reset, dropping down six divisions.
Human Torch, The Thing, And Other Updates Still On The Way
Despite the change in rank reset policy, Marvel Rivals continues to move forward with other planned updates. The much-anticipated addition of Human Torch and The Thing to the roster will bring the total number of heroes to 39. As per NetEase Games' earlier announcements, the game will introduce two new playable characters each season, with each season spanning three months.
The rewards for players reaching Gold rank and above remain unchanged, with those achieving Gold or higher receiving a complimentary Invisible Woman costume. Players ranked Grandmaster and above will also receive Crests of Honor. At the end of the season, new rewards will be available, including another free costume for Gold rank players and Crests of Honor for those at Grandmaster level and above. While balance adjustments are expected following the mid-season update, specific details about these changes have yet to be disclosed.
