Marvel Rivals Season 1 Mid-Season Update: No Rank Reset
A planned mid-season rank reset in Marvel Rivals Season 1 has been cancelled following significant player feedback. Initially, NetEase Games announced a reset coinciding with the February 21, 2025 update, which included the addition of The Thing and Human Torch. However, due to community concerns about the frequency of resets and the resulting pressure on competitive play, the decision was reversed.
The Marvel Rivals team stated that ranks and scores will be carried over into the second half of Season 1. Players will retain their earned positions. To unlock new rewards, including a Gold rank costume and various Crests of Honor, players only need to complete 10 competitive matches and fulfill the specified conditions by the season's end. This demonstrates NetEase's responsiveness to player input and a commitment to improving the game experience.
