The last major Baldur's Gate III patch entered the stress test stage

Baldur's Gate III's eighth, and potentially final, major patch stress test is now live. While some Sony console players received early access, players who haven't participated in the test are advised to reinstall the game for optimal performance.

Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-play functionality, bridging the gap between PC and console players. Players with linked Larian accounts can now invite friends regardless of platform. Even modded gameplay is supported cross-platform, provided all mods used by the PC player are available on Mac and consoles, and the host's lobby doesn't exceed ten installed mods.

Xbox Series S users will finally be able to experience split-screen co-op, a feature previously unavailable on this console.

Beyond multiplayer enhancements, Patch 8 boasts a fully customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, adding significant depth and replayability. Numerous bug fixes and balance adjustments have also been implemented, though some issues may persist. A comprehensive list of changes is available on the game's official page.
