The iconic "One-Winged Angel" soundtrack from Final Fantasy 7 made a surprising appearance at this year's Louis Vuitton Men's Fall-Winter Fashion Show, blending the worlds of video games and high fashion in an unexpected collaboration.

Played By A Live Orchestra

The renowned theme of Final Fantasy 7's antagonist, Sephiroth, known as "One-Winged Angel," kicked off the fashion show with grandeur. A live orchestra filled the venue with its majestic rendition as models showcased Louis Vuitton's latest luxury menswear on the runway.

Pharrell Williams, the creative director for the show, curated the soundtrack, which predominantly featured pop artists like The Weeknd, Playboy Carti, Don Toliver, and K-POP stars SEVENTEEN and BTS' j-hope. However, "One-Winged Angel," composed by the legendary Nobuo Uematsu, stood out as a unique choice. While Pharrell contributed to the composition of the other tracks, the inclusion of this video game classic hints at his possible affinity for the Final Fantasy series.

For those intrigued by this fusion of fashion and gaming, the event's livestream is accessible on the Louis Vuitton official YouTube channel.

Square Enix Is More Than Happy To Hear The News

Square Enix expressed their delight at the unexpected feature on the official Final Fantasy 7 X (Twitter) account, stating, "We're more than happy to hear music director Pharrell Williams and team have included One-Winged Angel in the Louis Vuitton Men Fall-Winter 2025 Fashion Show!" They shared their excitement alongside a link to the video.

Final Fantasy 7 remains a beloved title in the series, captivating gamers with the tale of Cloud Strife and his mission to thwart the evil forces of Shinra and the fallen hero, Sephiroth. Since its initial release in 1997, it has become a cherished part of many gamers' lives.

The game's legacy was revitalized with the announcement of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Project at E3 2015, followed by a gameplay reveal at PlayStation Experience later that year. This project aims to retell the epic story across a trilogy, with the third installment currently in development. Enhanced with modern graphics, new content, and revamped combat systems, it offers both a nostalgic and fresh experience.

"Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, while "Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth," the second part of the trilogy, is playable on PlayStation 5. A PC version of "Rebirth" is set to launch on Steam on January 23rd.
