LHEA and the Word Spirit is an upcoming puzzle adventure game for mobile and PC, developed by solo creator Jo Drolet under the Soul Fuel Games label. This project represents Drolet's first major game release.
Following nearly three years in development, the game launches on September 22nd. It blends casual roguelite mechanics with turn-based strategy. Alongside the release date reveal, the developer has shared new previews of the experience.
What is LHEA and the Word Spirit?
The story begins in the In-Between, a dreamlike realm suspended between life and death, where the protagonist Lhea awakens. Guided by an ancient Word Spirit, she must master an unconventional battle system.
Her journey involves manipulating timelines, aiding wandering souls to find peace, and ultimately restoring balance by mending fractured realms. The combat stands out for letting you directly control the flow of time itself.
To ensure dynamic battles, State of Mind and Harmony power-ups offer varied tactical advantages. Meanwhile, the Fate Flute is a mystical instrument capable of holding nine enchanted rings across three distinct presets. Each ring unlocks knowledge spells that evolve your capabilities.
