KEMCO's newest tactical RPG, Eldgear, plunges players into the magical world of Argenia. This turn-based adventure unfolds as Argenia transitions from a medieval society to a technologically advanced magical age, sparking conflict amongst its many nations.
The Eldgear Story:
Argenia, a land brimming with hundreds of nations, finds itself embroiled in conflict as powerful ancient technology is unearthed. Following a devastating war, a fragile peace prevails, constantly threatened by the potential for renewed conflict. Enter Eldia, a global task force central to the narrative, tasked with safeguarding these powerful ancient machines and preventing another catastrophic war. Eldia's role involves research, monitoring, and controlled access to these dangerous ruins.
Strategic Turn-Based Combat:
Eldgear's combat system, while strategically deep, boasts a relatively straightforward turn-based structure. However, the game's mechanics add layers of complexity. The EMA (Embedding Abilities) system allows units to equip three abilities usable at any time, offering tactical flexibility with stat boosts and abilities like Stealth. EXA (Expanding Abilities), activated by maximizing Tension during battles, unleashes devastating special attacks. The mysterious and powerful GEAR machines add another element, some acting as guardians, others as formidable foes.
