Jack Quaid, star of the hit series "The Boys," expressed his enthusiasm for a potential BioShock movie during a Reddit AMA. The actor, who is currently promoting his new film "Novocaine," revealed that BioShock ranks among his favorite games of all time. Quaid emphasized the game's "rich lore" and its potential for a compelling TV or movie adaptation, stating, "I would actually love to be in a live-action adaptation of BioShock - one of my favorite games of all time."

The feasibility of a BioShock movie becoming a reality remains uncertain. Last July, producer Roy Lee shared insights into the project's status, mentioning that leadership changes had led to a "reconfigured" approach, aiming for a "more personal" film. This shift was influenced by Netflix's decision to lower the budgets, prompting a smaller-scale production compared to the originally envisioned grand project. Francis Lawrence, known for directing "The Hunger Games," remains attached to direct this scaled-down version, though plot details are still under wraps.

Quaid's resemblance to the iconic video game character Max Payne has not gone unnoticed by fans, particularly with the release of "Novocaine," which some have humorously mistaken for a Max Payne movie due to the striking similarities. Quaid acknowledged the resemblance but admitted he has yet to play Max Payne, although it's on his list, given his appreciation for games developed by Rockstar.

Beyond BioShock, Quaid revealed his passion for video games extends to the challenging titles by FromSoftware. In the same Reddit AMA, he shared his journey through their library, from conquering "Bloodborne" and "Sekiro" to currently tackling "Elden Ring." Quaid's dedication to mastering these games is evident as he frequently turns to Reddit for strategies to overcome the notoriously difficult bosses, underscoring his self-described status as a "huge video game nerd."
