Kabam is introducing Isophyne, an original character, to Marvel Contest of Champions. Her design evokes elements reminiscent of the film Avatar, incorporating copper-toned metallic accents.
Isophyne's Unique Abilities
Isophyne enters the arena with a distinctive fighting style. Unlike other champions who build power for special moves sequentially, Isophyne utilizes a "Fractured Powerbar" mechanic. This allows for unprecedented flexibility, enabling her to chain together the same special move multiple times or mix and match specials in any order. This unpredictable combat style offers strategic depth for players who enjoy dynamic gameplay.
Mysterious Origins and Future Plans
Isophyne's backstory is shrouded in mystery, connected to the Founders, a secretive group within the game's lore. More details about the Founders will be revealed in 2025.
Kabam's 10th Anniversary Celebrations
This new champion launch coincides with Marvel Contest of Champions' 10th anniversary. Kabam is celebrating with a series of surprises throughout the remainder of 2024 and into 2025. Recent additions include Glorious Guardian Reworks, an Alliance Super Season, and 60 FPS gameplay. Four more surprises are planned for November.
