Where to Find Golden Rations
Golden Rations are primarily obtained through exploration and cycle resets. During gameplay, explore the map for chest icons; these often contain resources, including a chance at Golden Rations (indicated by their icon above the chest).
Areas containing Prisms (marked by golden diamond icons) frequently have nearby Golden Ration chests.
Alternatively, cycle resets offer another acquisition method. A cycle represents a single Overgrowth playthrough, resetting when your revives (Rez count) deplete. Upon death, you can retry the map (losing some resources) or fully reset the cycle at the Cursed Outpost. Successful cycle resets, based on your performance score, reward Golden Rations for rank-ups.
Golden Rations: Uses and Importance
Golden Rations are vital for progression in Hyper Light Breaker. Primarily used at your home base, they unlock permanent character upgrades and new vendor services.
