Hoshimi Miyabi helped Zenless Zone Zero set a new revenue record

HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its initial July 2024 launch figures.

According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue now exceeds $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new playable characters, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, along with enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all driving increased player spending.

While Harumasa was offered as a free promotional character, the gacha banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi significantly contributed to the game's record revenue.

The 1.4 update's impact on player engagement was particularly noteworthy. Unlike typical post-update spending patterns, which usually see a decline within a week, Zenless Zone Zero maintained daily revenue exceeding $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and remained above $500,000 even after two weeks.

Despite this remarkable achievement, Zenless Zone Zero still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in terms of overall revenue.
