Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.7: "A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn" Launches, Concluding the Penacony Chapter
Honkai: Star Rail's Version 2.7 update, titled "A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn," has arrived, bringing the Penacony chapter to a close. This update introduces new characters, events, and features before the Astral Express journeys to Amphoreus, the Eternal Land.
This final Penacony update features two new 5-star characters:
- Sunday: An Imaginary-type hero whose support abilities enhance ally damage and summon damage, further boosted by his ultimate skill's regenerative and damage-increasing effects.
- Fugue: A reimagined 5-star Fire-type Tingyun. Masterful at shattering enemy defenses, Fugue weakens opponents regardless of vulnerabilities and increases squadmates' Break Effect damage.
The limited Warp event also returns fan-favorites Jing Yuan and Firefly. Version 2.7 also adds new Astral Express features, including a relaxing Party Car and customizable Trailblazer quarters via the Cosmic Home Décor Guide event. Future updates are planned, including Version 3.0, which promises Relic system refinements, the Path of Remembrance storyline continuation, and new memosprites. A free 5-star character is also available through the Gift of the Express event, lasting until Version 3.2.
