Hearthstone Is Dropping Battlegrounds Season 9 Soon with Major Changes!

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!

Get ready for a celestial shake-up! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, updates, and exciting new features. Prepare for a cosmic theme, cutting-edge tech, and a completely revamped minion lineup—it's a Tavern transformation!

Key Changes:

Bob's Technotavern is getting a major upgrade. Season 9 resets ratings and bids farewell to Trinkets, replacing them with brand-new Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens let you reroll your hero choice at the selection screen, offering a second chance if you're unhappy with your options.

Minion Reveal Schedule:

Before the full launch, Hearthstone is unveiling new minions in stages:

  • November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
  • November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
  • November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
  • November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
  • November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
  • December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes.

More New Additions:

Season 9 introduces three new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating significant buzz thanks to his Galaxy's Lens ability. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either joining or leaving the game.

Solo Battlegrounds will also see a damage cap adjustment: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. This cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

Minion Release Schedule:

  • December 3rd: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs enter the fray.
  • December 5th: Murlocs and Demons join the minion pool.
  • December 9th: Undead and Elementals arrive.
