Warhorse Studios is in the final stages of developing a hardcore difficulty mode for *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. The developers recently shared via Discord that they have initiated the testing phase with a select group of 100 volunteers. The recruitment for testers has now concluded, signaling that the studio is gearing up for the last leg of development.
Though details about the hardcore mode are still under wraps, fans can anticipate a challenge level akin to the first game. In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance*, the hardcore mode ramped up the difficulty by limiting save options, boosting enemy damage, complicating navigation, reducing gold rewards, and introducing negative perks. It's expected that *Deliverance 2* will enhance these mechanics to offer an even more demanding experience.
Testers are under strict confidentiality agreements and cannot share any screenshots or videos of the hardcore mode. However, their involvement hints that official details might be released soon. The hardcore mode will be introduced as a free update, ensuring all players can tackle the heightened challenge.
*Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, delivering an immersive historical RPG experience set in medieval Bohemia. With the new hardcore mode, Warhorse Studios is set to appeal to both newcomers and seasoned players looking for a greater test of their skills.
