Guide: Completing Canker Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the side quest "Canker" becomes available after completing "The Jaunt." This quest is a great opportunity to acquire a mace or some extra Groschen, so let's walk through how to complete "Canker."

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" quest, you need to have a conversation with Gules in Semine. This can easily be done during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes, where you can talk to Gules while he's enjoying a drink. Alternatively, you can start the quest earlier by visiting Semine and speaking to Gules during his patrol duties. Ask him about his former bandit associates and express your willingness to help him eliminate the remaining threats. Canker is one of these former bandits and your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Upon accepting the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, located north of Nebakov Mill. Be cautious, as the path to this location is often patrolled by bandits ready to ambush you. You can choose to sneak past them, engage in combat, or simply flee. These random bandits are typically not difficult to defeat, but it's wise to avoid unnecessary fights to conserve health for the upcoming battle.

The bandit camp where Canker resides is nestled in the mountains and can be tricky to find. You'll need to navigate through a narrow gap similar to the approach to the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Prepare for combat before entering, as you'll encounter a group of bandits along with Canker.

In the fight, some bandits might flee depending on the sequence of your attacks, but you must ensure most of them are defeated. Fortunately, Canker will not escape, allowing you to fulfill the quest's requirement by killing him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his comrades, loot Canker's body to find the Light Mace, which serves as proof of your success. Feel free to take any additional items you find valuable. With the mace in hand, return to Gules in Semine to complete the quest.

Upon completing "Canker," you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can continue the storyline with Gules. After this period, speak with Gules again to pick up the next quest, "Handsome Charlie," involving another of his former bandit associates.
