Use Flash Pod
Despite its massive size, Doshaguma is remarkably agile, capable of jumping and dashing around the arena. This can make it challenging for melee weapon users to land hits. However, you can temporarily stun this beast using a Flash Pod. This tool will blind Doshaguma for a few seconds, providing you with the perfect opportunity to attack or even mount its back.
Attack the Legs
Targeting Doshaguma’s legs is highly effective. The forelegs are particularly vulnerable, boasting a 3-star weakness. While the back legs are less susceptible, with only a 2-star weakness, they are still viable targets. The head is another excellent spot to focus on, also with a 3-star weakness. Although it deals less damage, breaking the tail can yield additional monster parts.
Use Fire and Lightning
In Monster Hunter Wilds, fire and lightning are the most potent elements against Doshaguma. Bowgun users should equip Flaming and Thunder ammo, while melee weapon users can enhance their weapons with fire skill decorations. For fire attacks, aim for the head and torso; for lightning, target the head exclusively.
Beware of Blastblight
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a status ailment that leads to an explosion if the gauge fills up or you suffer a heavy hit. You can counteract this by consuming a Nulberry or using Deodorant. Alternatively, dodge-rolling three times can also dispel the effect.
Use Traps
Beyond direct combat, utilize the environment to your advantage. Doshaguma’s territory often contains natural traps that can be used to impede its movement. Remember to sheath your weapon before deploying your slinger and ensure the monster is directly beneath the trap before activating it.
