Microsoft will add Rockstar Games' acclaimed Grand Theft Auto V to Xbox Game Pass, alongside the Enhanced Edition for PC Game Pass, starting April 15, 2025.
This headline addition to April 2025's Wave 1 lineup was announced via Xbox Wire, positioning Rockstar's blockbuster as the service's most anticipated release this month. The PC version's inclusion of March's Enhanced update makes this an especially compelling offering for subscribers.
"All players will experience the Oscar Guzman Flies Again update," clarifies Xbox's official announcement. "Take command of the McKenzie Field Hangar in Grapeseed to complete new arms smuggling operations, pilot fresh aircraft, and access additional content."
This marks GTA V's return to Game Pass following its previous removal. While making its Game Pass debut on PC, the news hasn't been universally welcomed by the franchise's dedicated fanbase.
The March 4 Enhanced update introduced:
- Latest vehicle additions
- Performance enhancements via Hao's Special Works
- New wildlife encounters
- Visual improvements
New players can enjoy Los Santos worry-free, but veterans attempting to transfer existing profiles to the Enhanced edition may encounter ongoing technical difficulties.
