Gotham Knights: A Potential Nintendo Switch 2 Title?
Recent speculation suggests Gotham Knights could be among the third-party titles launching on the Nintendo Switch 2. This intriguing possibility stems from a game developer's resume.

A January 5, 2025 report by YouTuber Doctre81 highlighted a developer's resume listing work on Gotham Knights for two yet-to-be-released platforms. The developer, employed by QLOC from 2018 to 2023, also listed projects like Mortal Kombat 11 and Tales of Vesperia. The inclusion of Gotham Knights for two unannounced platforms is noteworthy.
While one platform could potentially be the original Nintendo Switch (due to a previous ESRB rating, since removed), the game's performance issues on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S might hinder a port. The second unannounced platform strongly hints at the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
It's crucial to remember that neither Warner Bros. Games nor Nintendo have made official announcements. However, considering the current gaming landscape, the Nintendo Switch 2 is the most likely candidate.
Previous Switch Port Speculation and ESRB Rating

Initially released in October 2022 for PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X, Gotham Knights briefly received an ESRB rating for the original Nintendo Switch, sparking speculation of a port and potential appearance in a Nintendo Direct. This rating has since been removed. The absence of a Switch release then, coupled with the recent YouTube findings and the 2023 ESRB rating, fuels the possibility of a Switch 2 release.
Nintendo Switch 2: Backwards Compatibility and Official Announcements
