Set in the heart of Ezo (present-day Hokkaido), Ghost of Yōtei follows the journey of Atsu, a determined warrior seeking vengeance against the notorious Yōtei Six—the group of outlaws responsible for the murder of her family. Her quest for justice involves hunting down each member: The Snake, The Oni, The Kitsune, The Spider, The Dragon, and Lord Saito.
As a standalone sequel set 300 years after the original, Ghost of Yōtei expands on the success of its predecessor with a range of new weapons, mechanics, and features, promising an enriched gaming experience.
Hunt Down The Yōtei Six Your Way
Ghost of Yōtei empowers players with the freedom to pursue the Yōtei Six in any order, tailoring their path of vengeance. In a detailed post on PlayStation.blog on April 23, Sucker Punch Productions elaborated on Atsu’s journey and the game's innovative features.
The sequel enhances the open-world exploration with greater freedom and variety. Beyond the primary mission of hunting the outlaws, players can engage in various activities within Ezo, including tracking dangerous targets for bounties and learning new skills from weapon sensei.
