Game of Thrones: Kingsroad – Closed Beta Arrives January 15th!
Netmarble's highly anticipated Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, adapted from George R.R. Martin's acclaimed series and HBO's hit show, is launching a closed beta on Android and PC starting January 15th. The beta, running until January 22nd, will be available in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Sign-ups are open now!
Unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile titles focusing on strategy, Kingsroad offers a unique third-person action-adventure experience. Players assume the role of an heir to the lesser-known House Tyre, embarking on a journey across Westeros, engaging in combat, and building prestige.
The game's trailer showcases a Witcher-esque aesthetic, featuring third-person exploration and combat. Players can choose from three distinct classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin. While visually impressive, the ultimate test will be the gameplay itself.
Don't Miss Out! Registration for the closed beta closes January 12th.
While visually appealing, Kingsroad will undoubtedly face intense scrutiny. Although Game of Thrones' peak cultural dominance may have passed, its dedicated fanbase eagerly awaits a truly immersive, on-the-ground experience. Monetization strategies and long-term support will be key factors in determining the game's success. Netmarble's ability to deliver a satisfying experience for Game of Thrones fans remains to be seen.
