Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut

Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This expanded offering is a deliberate choice by the developers, driven by their desire to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group.

This supersized season includes a wealth of new additions:

  • Three New Maps: Explore iconic New York City locations – the Sanctum Sanctorum (available at launch, featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
  • The Fantastic Four Arrival: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) debut with Season 1, with The Thing and Human Torch joining the roster in a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.

The decision to release the Fantastic Four simultaneously resulted in a significantly larger-than-usual season, according to Creative Director Guangyun Chen. While the impact on future seasons' content remains unconfirmed, the current expectation is to continue adding two heroes or villains per season.

Despite the excitement surrounding Season 1, some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of Blade. While his inclusion was rumored, his arrival remains a possibility in future updates. With a huge amount of content already planned and ongoing speculation, the future of Marvel Rivals looks incredibly promising.
