Fortnite Hunters has kicked off Chapter 6 with a bang, introducing an expansive map for players to explore, along with powerful Oni Masks and Typhoon Blades, and thrilling bosses to battle. As the season unfolds, more exciting content is being added, including unique items to the loot pool and additional features to enhance gameplay.
With Winterfest now behind us, Fortnite Hunters has rolled out its first major update, bringing back some fan-favorite items from Chapter 4. While the Kinetic Blade might be on many players' wish lists, the Lock On Pistol is capturing attention as a weapon designed to improve shot accuracy.
How To Get The Lock On Pistol
Obtaining the Lock On Pistol is straightforward, as it can be found as floor loot or inside chests. Given its Rare rarity, players should have a fair chance of stumbling upon it. However, due to its rarity, thorough looting of chests is recommended to increase your chances of finding this weapon.
Alternatively, players can try their luck at Fishing Spots using a Fishing Rod. These spots offer an increased likelihood of securing a Rare weapon, making it a viable strategy to snag the Lock On Pistol.
How To Use The Lock On Pistol
Using the Lock On Pistol is akin to handling other semi-automatic pistols in Fortnite, with each shot delivering 25 damage. What sets it apart is its unique Lock-On feature. When aiming down sights, a circle appears around the reticle. Any target within this circle will be hit by every bullet fired, as long as they're not behind cover.
This feature is effective against players gliding or hiding in bushes, but it has a limited range of 50 meters, necessitating close proximity to the target. For those who prefer a more rapid-fire approach, the pistol can also be fired from the hip, though this method won't utilize the Lock-On feature.
Here's a quick overview of the Lock On Pistol's stats:
Damage | Fire Rate | Magazine Size | Reload Time |
---|---|---|---|
25 | 15 | 12 | 1.76s |
