elMonosapiens Games is a one-person studio based in Aracaju, Brazil. The studio’s first commercial release is now out on Android. It’s Mosquintal: Mosquitoes, which is also the developer’s first 2D title. The name already hints that it’s going to be a playful and fun title.
Mosquintal: Mosquitoes offers arcade-style gameplay in an old-school cartoon animation
A 2D vertical arcade shmup-like, Mosquintal: Mosquitoes places players in a familiar but exaggerated setting. You have to defend a backyard against endless waves of dengue mosquitoes. Yep, not monsters or zombies, but mosquitoes.
As nasty as it gets, you have to kill them all with a rechargeable fly-swatter racket handheld bug zapper. Yep, almost like in real life. In fact, the developer jokingly refers to the exaggerated enemies as winged violinists. And don’t forget the game’s fictional Big Boss Mosquito!
Mosquintal: Mosquitoes focuses on fast, immediate action. You face escalating waves of mosquitoes who test your reflexes and focus. You also get power-ups that enhance abilities and help repel the swarm. You can call a summonable ally to fight alongside you.

What else does the game offer on Android? -----------------------------------------Achievements unlock different skins for the zapper. The latest launch update includes a new skin called Wand. Two control schemes are also available, letting you play with either a d-pad or a joystick. Global Play Games leaderboards also track dengue control scores and combo performance.
Mosquintal: Mosquitoes is now available on Android through Google Play Store and itch. It’s free to play on mobile, and supports English and Portuguese (BR) as of now. A PC version is coming soon, in case you like playing silly games on both mobile and PC.
