Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is set to launch in 2025 on Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games. This roguelike deck-builder builds upon the success of its 2019 predecessor with significant enhancements. An open beta test is currently underway on Steam (October 25th-31st), with mobile releases to follow.
What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?
This sequel introduces a new protagonist with a backstory unfolding years after the original game. Players begin with pre-built decks and unique ability cards, complemented by the addition of companions, each contributing their own specialized cards.
A novel card fusion mechanic allows players to combine three identical cards into a more powerful version. Deck progression is managed through an evolution tree, offering strategic choices for upgrading cards – even previously discarded cards can be enhanced. The acquisition of relics has also been revamped; they are now found in markets, after boss battles, or during special events, rather than after every fight.
Combat incorporates a new Countdown system influencing enemy actions, replacing the "End Turn" button with a "ReDraw" mechanic. A revised armor and shield system further enhances the strategic depth of battles.

Ready to Set Sail?
Despite the numerous additions, Pirates Outlaws 2 retains the core gameplay of its predecessor. Players will continue to construct decks, explore the seas, and conquer the Arena and Campaign modes. Familiar elements such as ammo management, melee-ranged-skill card combinations, curses, and diverse enemy factions remain. For more details, visit the official website.
