HoYoverse has unveiled details for Honkai: Star Rail's version 2.6 update, "Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age," launching October 23rd. This update transports players to Penacony and its vibrant Paperfold University, celebrating its anniversary with a bustling campus atmosphere.
New Character and Gameplay
The spotlight shines on Rappa, a new 5-star Galaxy Ranger character who identifies as a ninja. Her gameplay incorporates ninjutsu, mantras, scrolls, graffiti, and rap. Rappa's quest focuses on hunting down the villainous Evil Ninja Osaru. Her ultimate attack, Sealform Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade, offers a first-person perspective, allowing players to decimate enemies and significantly reduce their Toughness.
Version 2.6 Events
The "Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription" event challenges players to manage a band for the Dreamlight Anniversary music party, collaborating with Rappa for a spectacular performance. Limited-time banner reruns feature 5-star characters Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine during the update's first and second halves.
Simulated Universe Expansion
Honkai: Star Rail version 2.6 significantly expands the Simulated Universe. Following the success of Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears, a new, larger challenge awaits: The Unknowable Domain, the third DLC. This expansion delves into the aftermath of the Second Emperor's War, focusing on the powerful Scepter system – an advanced external thinking unit.
