This Secret Lair, however, represents a significant expansion of his involvement, featuring four cards with notable gameplay relevance. The selection includes iconic cards like Lightning Bolt, a staple across various formats; Murktide Regent, a powerhouse in Modern and Legacy; Light-Paws, a popular Commander; and Shorikai, a prominent card in Vintage Cubes and a top 20 Commander according to EDHRec.
Wizards of the Coast highlights Arita's extensive experience in trading card game art, noting his work's global recognition. The company emphasizes the fan-favorite status of his previous Magic collaboration and celebrates this Secret Lair as a showcase of his exceptional creature design across four remarkable cards.
This Secret Lair will be available on the Secret Lair website, starting Monday, February 10th at 9 am PT. Non-foil versions will cost $29.99, while foil versions are priced at $39.99.
