For word game enthusiasts, Codenames needs no introduction. This popular spy-themed board game is now available as a digital app, published by CGE Digital (the original board game was created by Vlaada Chvátil).
What is Codenames?
Codenames involves deciphering secret agent identities hidden behind code names. Working as a team, you receive one-word clues from your spymaster to identify your agents, avoiding civilians and, crucially, the assassin.
This multiplayer game pits two teams against each other in a strategic battle of deduction. The challenge lies in interpreting single clues linking multiple words on the grid. Can you crack the code and outwit your opponents?
The digital version boasts new words, game modes, and unlockable achievements, even incorporating a career mode with leveling, rewards, and special gadgets. Asynchronous multiplayer allows up to 24 hours per turn, enabling simultaneous participation in multiple games, global challenges, and daily solo puzzles.

Still a Game of Guesswork!
Players tap cards on the screen, hoping to reveal their agents. Correct guesses flip the cards, but selecting the assassin results in immediate defeat. Juggling multiple games adds complexity, yet contributes to the game's challenge. As you progress, you'll even take on the spymaster role, crafting the clues themselves.
