The Mandalorian and Grogu Mission Concept Art for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run

Exciting news emerges from Star Wars Celebration about the upcoming Mandalorian-themed expansion for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run. Alongside the new film, this thrilling update will let players interact with Grogu as their Engineer and explore Coruscant for the first time, joining existing planets like Tatooine, Bespin, and Endor in this interactive adventure.

A Galaxy-Spanning Bounty Chase Awaits

The highly anticipated Smuggler's Run update arrives May 22, 2026, offering a fresh storyline that intersects with The Mandalorian & Grogu film while carving its own unique path. Players will join Din Djarin and his tiny companion in an original narrative where the notorious Hondo Ohnaka discovers a shady deal between ex-Imperials and pirates on Tatooine. This discovery sparks an intense chase across the stars, with guests teaming up with the fan-favorite duo to track down targets and claim bounties.

New Features and Gameplay Mechanics

Engineers will find themselves with adorable new responsibilities - caring for Grogu during missions. Imagineering creative executive Asa Kalama reveals: "We're giving engineers opportunities to communicate with Grogu throughout the mission." He teases funny scenarios where "Grogu might get a little happy on the control panel" when Mando leaves the ship.

The adventure includes a pivotal decision moment where players must quickly choose which bounty to pursue. "That lightning-quick decision determines which destinations you visit," Kalama explains, highlighting the branching narrative paths that make each playthrough unique.

The update also introduces:

  • New interactions with Grogu for Engineer players
  • Expanded planetary destinations including Coruscant
  • Dynamic branching story paths through critical decisions
  • Fresh narrative scenarios separate from the film
