Ruchiruno Games has unveiled their latest project, Energy Drain Shooter, which is slated for release on Japanese storefronts next month. This fast-paced 3D bullet hell shooter challenges players to absorb energy from enemy bullets while dodging waves of attacks and striking back with powerful homing lasers. Pre-registrations for Energy Drain Shooter are now open on the App Store and Google Play.
The game's core mechanic, aptly named Energy Drain, rewards players for narrowly avoiding enemy fire. The closer you get to the bullets, the more energy you absorb, which in turn fills your gauge and boosts your score. Mastering this system through aggressive play can unlock Hard Mode, where enemy attacks become even more intense.
Players have three attack options at their disposal: melee strikes, normal shots, and homing lasers. Normal shots can be powered up by passing through special gates, while the homing laser locks onto multiple enemies, causing a chain reaction that wipes them out. Each stage culminates in a boss fight, where players must navigate complex bullet patterns, requiring quick reactions and strategic maneuvering.
The game features five distinct stages, each with unique enemy formations, obstacles, and attack patterns. Surviving these stages requires more than just dodging; players must manage their energy, position themselves wisely, and time their attacks effectively. The bullet hell encounters vary from laser barrages to blade-like projectiles, ensuring each battle remains unpredictable.
For those seeking an extra challenge, Hard Mode becomes available after achieving a high score in Normal Mode. This mode features faster enemies and more complex bullet patterns, pushing players' reflexes and strategic thinking to the limit.
Energy Drain Shooter is set to release on March 15th. You can pre-register by clicking on your preferred link below. The game is priced at ¥480 and is a premium title. For more information, visit the official website.
