Electronic Arts Hosts Playtest for City Life Game with Friends on Android
Electronic Arts, commonly known as EA, is currently conducting an exclusive playtest for their new game, City Life Game with Friends, on Android devices. This playtest is a segment of EA's ambitious project, The Sims Project Rene. The purpose of this limited-time event is to collect valuable feedback on the game's performance and player interactions, offering a glimpse into the future of this exciting project.
Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?
The playtest is exclusively available for Android users whose devices are running at least Android 12 and have a minimum of 4GB of RAM. However, participation is not open to everyone; it's restricted to specific regions and participants.
You can enjoy the game until April 4th, 2025, but be mindful of the different end times based on your location: 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest concludes, the game will no longer be accessible, and you'll need to uninstall it from your device.
Keep in mind that this playtest version is not the full game, nor does it fully represent the final product. It's an early look at where EA might be heading with The Sims Project Rene, showcasing their willingness to experiment with various innovative concepts.
What’s in Store?
Once you're part of the playtest, you have the opportunity to create a character that reflects your personal style and vibe. The game's neighborhood is alive with activities, from shopping at the Thrift Shop for new outfits to relaxing at the Café or participating in community events.
City Life Game with Friends encourages players to collaborate on organizing block parties, making wishes at the plaza fountain, and searching for hidden collectibles. The gameplay emphasizes social interaction and community building, allowing you to connect with others over shared interests in art, music, and engaging conversations.
If you're interested in participating, head over to the Google Play Store to check it out (if you're in one of the eligible playtest regions). If not, stay tuned for our next news piece on Bandai Namco's decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th Anniversary.
