Dusk is a new mobile game multiplayer app in the works now

Author : Ellie Mar 21,2025

Dusk, a newly funded mobile multiplayer app from entrepreneurs Bjarke Felbo and Sanjay Guruprasad, aims to capitalize on the booming mobile multiplayer market. This app provides a platform for playing custom-made multiplayer games with friends, offering quick and easy team-ups. Felbo and Guruprasad's previous success with Rune, a companion app for PUBG and Call of Duty Mobile boasting five million installs, suggests they possess valuable experience in this space.

Dusk functions as a game creation platform, hosting various titles playable within the app itself, alongside integrated chat and friend pairing features. Imagine a streamlined, mobile-first version of Xbox Live or Steam, focused on user-generated content.

The primary challenge for Dusk lies in its reliance on the quality and appeal of its user-generated games. While some titles, such as mini-golf and 3D racing, show promise, the absence of established, big-name games presents a hurdle.

However, Dusk’s cross-platform compatibility across browsers, iOS, and Android offers a significant advantage. In a landscape where platforms like Discord are integrating gaming features, Dusk's lightweight approach to connecting friends for quick gameplay could prove compelling. Only time will tell if this strategy will succeed.
