In a recent developer journal, BioWare shared insights into the PC-specific features players can expect from Dragon Age: The Veilguard before its launch. The studio emphasized a variety of enhancements, including extensive customization options, advanced display settings, and seamless integration with Steam's features such as cloud saves, Remote Play support, and compatibility with the Steam Deck.

Alongside the announcement, Nvidia released an "RTX Announce Trailer" that confirmed the game's release date for October 31. BioWare's commitment to delivering an optimal PC experience is rooted in the series' origins on the platform. "The Dragon Age franchise started out on PC, and we wanted to make sure PC is a great place to play our game," the studio stated. To ensure this, BioWare dedicated approximately 200,000 hours to performance and compatibility testing on PCs, which made up 40% of their overall platform testing efforts.

Furthermore, BioWare invested nearly 10,000 hours in user research to fine-tune controls and UI functions across various setups. Players will benefit from native support for PS5 DualSense controllers with haptic feedback, as well as support for Xbox controllers and keyboard and mouse setups. The game also allows for switching between controller and keyboard/mouse setups during gameplay or in menus. Additionally, players can customize class-specific keybinds for a tailored gaming experience. The Veilguard supports 21:9 Ultrawide display, a Cinematic Aspect Ratio toggle, customizable field of view (FOV), uncapped frame rates, full HDR support, and Ray Tracing features.
