DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation Now Supported in All Games

Author : Lucas Apr 16,2025

Summary

  • 75 games will support DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation, exclusive to the RTX 50 GPUs, boosting FPS.
  • Nvidia's Blackwell GPUs will enhance DLSS technology, with the RTX 5090 flagship model starting at $1,999.
  • DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation features will not be exclusive to RTX 50 series.

Nvidia made exciting announcements at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), revealing that 75 games will support DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation, a feature exclusive to the RTX 50 series of graphics cards. This upcoming Nvidia technology will be available in games such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Cyberpunk 2077, and Marvel Rivals once the RTX 50 GPUs are released.

The new generation of Nvidia GPUs, codenamed Blackwell, will build on the successes of the current Ada Lovelace lineup, introducing enhancements to Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology. The RTX 50 GPUs, slated for release in January, will also feature Multi-Frame Generation, which promises to increase frames per second (FPS) in supported titles more effectively than the current Frame Generation technology. The flagship model of the Blackwell series, the RTX 5090, comes with 32GB of GDDR7 video memory and starts at an MSRP of $1,999. Other models include the RTX 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070, with starting prices of $999, $749, and $549, respectively.

With DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation poised to revolutionize gaming performance, Nvidia announced a lineup of 75 games and apps that will support these technologies right from the launch of the RTX 50 GPUs. For instance, in Cyberpunk 2077, Nvidia demonstrated that with DLSS and Multi-Frame Generation disabled and full ray tracing enabled, the game runs below 30 FPS on the RTX 5090. However, activating DLSS and Multi-Frame Generation boosts the frame rate to an impressive 236 FPS on the flagship Blackwell GPU.

While Nvidia did not specify an exact release date for the RTX 50 graphics cards in January, they confirmed that some DLSS 4 enhancements will not be exclusive to the RTX 50 series. Older cards like the RTX 40 series will receive updates to DLSS features such as Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing (DLAA) through future Nvidia GeForce driver updates, available via the Nvidia app or Nvidia's website.

Additionally, upcoming titles like Doom: The Dark Ages will incorporate Multi-Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction upon their release. PC gamers considering an upgrade to the RTX 50 lineup will have a wealth of new features to explore.
